CHINA STUDY TOUR- Summer 2011

At the start of the summer holidays a group of staff and students embarked on a study tour of China visiting four destinations: Beijing, Xian, Suzhou and Shanghai which were in turn informative, exciting, surprising and exhausting.

The itinerary took in China both ancient and modern from the Great Wall, the Summer Palace and Terracotta Army to the Olympic park, Tiananmen Square and the Shanghai urban planning Exhibition, with its model of Shanghai in 2020. We also saw traditional performances and street markets and tried many styles of traditional cuisine.


As always the girls were great ambassadors for the school and are sure to name the trip as one of the highlights of their time at Nonsuch.
