Nonsuch Netballers

On the 25th May 2011, 15 Nonsuch netballers went to Surrey Sports Park, Guildford, to be filmed for BBC Breakfast for a segment on the Netball World Championships in Singapore. When we arrived we did a short warm-up and then met four of the England team! The BBC representatives briefed us on what we were doing and we soon started some drills led by the captain Karen Atkinson, these drills tested our speed, stamina and accuracy whilst teaching us new skills. We then watched in awe at the England players and BBC broadcaster Mike Bushell completed some drills, this was very entertaining as several times he fell over! We then played a game, Nonsuch against the professionals and Mike. We were amazed at the speed, tactics, passing and jumping abilities they displayed, we wish the team the best of luck in the world championships and one day we aspire to be just like them.
