A welcome from the Leadership Team

We are delighted to welcome you to Nonsuch High School for Girls' website. The School is a lively and vibrant community and what strikes visitors most is both the enthusiasm and engagement of students and the commitment of staff inside and outside the classroom. Girls readily involve themselves in all sorts of activities, be they sporting, musical or artistic, fund-raising for charities, or welcoming younger pupils from local primary schools to the large number of 'outreach' events. We are a very rich and multicultural community in which relationships are harmonious and supportive and where girls from across the whole school work collaboratively for the good of all.

Our aim at Nonsuch is to provide a rigorous and challenging academic experience through which girls are encouraged to achieve their very best in terms of examination results. We are routinely amongst the top schools in the country. We also want to develop a life-long love of learning. As a result, we focus on developing the skills and attributes which will enable our students to move confidently into the future as independent and resilient individuals, fully conversant in the use of modern technologies and equipped to make the most of the opportunities and challenges they will meet.

We believe firmly in educating the whole person and our ethos is based on the core values of tolerance, respect and responsibility. Nonsuch is a community in which each individual is equally valued, and students' moral and social development is of paramount importance to us: this is why we place so much emphasis on providing outstanding pastoral care, recognising the needs of each student and providing encouragement and support through, for example, our excellent peer mentoring schemes and our well-developed and highly effective house system.

Students leave Nonsuch as well-educated young women, with highly developed social and interpersonal skills, ready to make a positive contribution to twenty-first century society. We are very proud of our school and you are most welcome to come and visit us to see for yourself the Nonsuch community at work.
